Just wanted to do a different style of sketch of one of my characters, Kielo. I've been drawing her off and on for a while now and I have a story I want to write about her but I'm not sure I've got a strong enough handle on perspective and urban architecture to really begin the artwork for it. She's really a fun character to think about though.
I have a strong desire to create vertical banners for either side of our booth at Anime Boston this year and this was my idea for the design for my banner. I'd probably zazz it up before I got it printed, obviously, but I like it overall.
It's hard to try and take sketches further. I feel like my sketches have a lot more character than my final work most of the time. So sad.
